Mr. Lasantha Amarasekara was appointed as the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of Lankaputhra Development Bank with effect from 23rd March 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) from University of Bangalore, India, and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Commercial Law (MCL) from Deakin University, Australia. He carries with him more than 12 years of experience in credit, treasury and risk management, debt and capital market operations, mortgage management and brokering, business development, financial planning and expertise in management consulting gained in Sri Lanka and Australia.  Immediately prior to joining LDB, Mr Amarasekara worked as a Consultant of Financial Services Cluster of the Strategic Management Agency (SEMA), under the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka.

Chief financial officer

Mr. Edirisuriya heads the Finance Division of Lankaputhra Development Bank as  Chief Financial Officer. He has wide experience in the financial services sector and has held the position of the Senior Manager – Corporate Foreign Currency Banking Unit of Seylan Bank. Mr. Edirisuriya holds a B.Sc Business Administration Degree from University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colombo. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and Certified Management  Accountants ( Australia )

Assistant General Manager – Credit & Operations

Mr. U V Gunadasa is a senior banker  with over 37 years of experience in commercial banking. He has served as an Assistant General Manager in a state owned commercial bank and thereafter as General Manager/CEO in a Regional Development bank. He is an Associate Member of IBSL and holds a diploma in Cooperative Management and Organizing from USSR. Mr. Gunadasa joined LDB in June, 2011. He has expertise in pawning business and performed as a consultant before joining LDB. He is capable of bringing his multifaceted experience in banking industry towards further development of LDB
